CallMeGary.com is a tribute to the life and times of Gary Collins.
The name of the site comes from his boisterous catchphrase whenever somebody would try to treat him with deference by calling him Mr. Collins.
“Call Me Gary,” he would belt out. “Mr. Collins was my father’s name.”
Many folks have come up to me in the past several days, people that knew Gary as a statistician or a soccer coach or a neighbor or a guy at the bar.
They all knew different facets of him, yet they all had one common sentiment – Gary was a great friend.
